 June 27th, 1998 - April 15th, 2010.
It was with great saddness that we learned of the passing of Thunder. Thunder was a very special boy! Not only was he a member of our rally group but he was a former therapy dog who touched the lives of so many people. It was easy for anyone to see just how much Nancy loved this boy!! Nancy we are soooo sorry for your loss, we hope that all of the great memories you have of Thunder can help to ease your pain.

Since the weather is so nice lately, we decided to start up our rally group outdoors again. We had a beautiful day and even though the weather forecast said showers it ended up being perfect weather. We did some obedience training exercises and also set up a small rally o course. The dogs had a great time, they LOVE to work!!! At the end of our training session the dogs always get to play...this is their favorite part of rally group!

Of course this weekend gone by the winter temperatures had to return!!! We were at the Cobequid Kennel Club show in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. This show is held in an indoor riding arena, the outside temperature was well below freezing most of the weekend so needless to say we were all freezing!!!! Despite the freezing cold temperature, we all managed to have a lot of fun. It was great seeing all of our show friends and we also got to know some new friends! The added bonus was that the ver... This weekend gone by, we attended the Patricia Craige Trotter seminar in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We went with our friends from Medway Collies, Wildbrook Labs and CuSithe Corgis. We all had a great time and learned A LOT!!!! One thing in the world of dog showing and breeding that you soon find out is that you never stop learning!! It doesn't matter if you have been in this for 5 years or 45 years, there is always something new to learn. It's nice to be able to go to these seminars and lea... Continue reading...

This week is week 3 of Lexa and Quarry's obedience classes. They are having a great time and are making all kinds of new doggie friends...and people friends too:) There is a shiloh shepherd at class and the first week she wanted to play sooo badly but she is so much larger than all of the other dogs that no one wanted to play with her...well no one except for Lexa!!!! Once the other dogs saw Lexa playing with Sable then they knew that she was all right and then they played with her too. ... Continue reading...

On February 5th, our newest addition arrived from Thornapple Aussies in Michigan,USA. A beautiful red factored black tri boy...Ruger!! We picked Ruger up from the airport, opened his crate and he jumped right into our laps! Ellen from Thornapple told us that Ruger is the sweetest boy ever and she was not exaggerating at all!!!! Ruger is so good natured and easy going, it did not take him long to fit in with his new family. We are very happy that Ruger now calls Novacoast his home!!

Wow, January seemed to have flown by!!!! We had a busy month, as usual, but always lots of fun!!
We ended the month with another litter evaluation at Wildbrook kennels on January 29th. This was a re-evaluation of one of the litters that we did 2 weeks ago, they are now 8 weeks old. It is amazing how much the puppies have changed in just 2 weeks!!!
On the 30th we travelled to South Rawdon, along with Gerald Dagley from Wildbrook Kennles, to a handling seminar held by Allison Foley. We al... Continue reading...
